Thank you for visiting my Blog. Years ago I would have never imagined I would have started a blog, yet here I am on assignment by God. I pray it has been a blessing to you. -Angelita Chavez
I met the love of my life nineteen years ago in a college math summer program before our first semester. By God’s grace, we’ll be married thirteen years this November. He is the greatest blessing in my life (aside from my relationship with Jesus Christ). I treasure our friendship and how we’ve grown in our ability to work together more than anything. Typically when I’m asked to speak, he is encouraging others right alongside me. I wouldn’t have it any other way. After all he is my better half!
Our first bundle of joy came on the scene when we were married nearly nine years. Our second, came two years later. We are excited to announce our third arrow will arrive this September.
Before the arrival of our little blessings, I spent most of my career teaching Middle School Mathematics and supervising Supplemental Nonprofit Educational Programs. While I have a B.S. in Biological Sciences, Algebra makes my heart flutter, which is probably why I married an Engineer.
Although I love reading a good book while savoring sips of a creamy chai latte, I’m often found at a park on a play-date with my little ones. I feel like the ultimate multitasker when I can get in a workout at the same time. As a stay-at-home-mommy, working out is one of the ways I love to decompress while staying healthy. Honestly, I rather run a mile any day than simply refrain from dark chocolate or freshly baked bread.
At home, I enjoy engaging my toddlers in their Homeschool studies as well as taking praise breaks. We love to dance around to music with our instruments in hand. I feel incredibly blessed to be able to stay-at-home with my children and I treasure the precious moments we have together.
Even with a growing family, my love for travel has not diminished. My first international trip was with my groom during our honeymoon. We took our first flight from San Francisco to Rome, Italy and we’ve been flying the world together ever since. Now we have two (soon to be three) little international travelers that tag along.
