My son adores Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends. It was no question we’d be planning a Thomas the Train themed birthday party for his third birthday.
There was a guest list of about 80 people, so we opted to host the party at a nearby park. Thankfully the weather was perfect. It is sometimes hard to tell what a day in April would look like in the California valley. His previous two birthdays were very windy and chilly; which made it difficult to keep the decorations and food in place. I was so relieved not to be chasing food or decor this year.
I teamed up with G & C Party Games to help with the food, decor, and entertainment. Their creativity and skill is unparalleled. My friends and family were very impressed with the way we transformed the park. G & C Party Games made our Thomas the Train photo-booth, our table ends resembling Percy, Gordon, James and Thomas (all different trains from Thomas the Tank Engine), as well as a Thomas the Train piñata. In addition to the customized items we ordered, we rented some of their party games. Our family and friends had plenty of activities to keep them entertained and plenty of food to keep their stomachs full! You can see their amazing work below. If you’re near the Stockton or Sacramento area and would like to use their services, check them out at this link: G & C Party Games.

Party Games: Unfortunately, I only have pictures of one of their games. It was a Mickey and Minnie Mouse Golf Putt. We also had a Plinko and Bag Toss Game at the Party.
Most of what G & C Party Games created was upon my request. I spent some time on Pinterest looking for Thomas the Train party ideas (you can see all my pins by clicking on this link: Thomas Birthday Party).
A few things I made for the party were a Watermelon Cake, Thomas and friends train boxes, and some bow ties and mustaches from my son’s first Little Man Mustache Birthday Bash.
